Service Delivery Manager & Senior Telecom Engineer

Lillybelle - Company website

Lillybelle is a telecommunications company that provides QoS/QoE drive test tools and services. Lillybelle is the official distributor of Narda, Alphawave, Accuver, PCTEL products in France and some African countries.

Worked as Service Delivery Manager for RF exposure evaluations, leading efforts to resolve compliance issues that were delaying 5G rollouts. Oversaw a team comprising one RF engineer and two 3D designers to ensure timely and accurate remediation of RF exposure boundary violations.

Developed and implemented solutions that streamlined RF exposure evaluations, significantly reducing turnaround time while meeting client requirements.

Provided presales support for Lillybelle’s RF exposure evaluation services, contributing to client engagement and solution adoption.

Acted as a technical expert in RF exposure, advising Lillybelle’s clients on the use of Narda products and IXUS software for RF compliance and evaluation.

Results: achieved the successful deployment of 115 previously delayed 5G radio sites by resolving non-compliant RF exposure boundary issues.

RF Exposure Study Lead

Bouygues Telecom - Company website

Worked as RF exposure studies lead, at Bouygues Telecom’s regulatory affairs department. Assessed public’s and workers’ exposure to RF antennas (2G to 5G) using simulations (IXUS and EMF Visual).

Results: unblocked 45 sites deployments by proposing adjustments to make them compliant with RF exposure limits. Worked as technical referent when Bouygues Telecom decided to subcontract the RF exposure assessment work to Lillybelle.

Studied the impact of field averaging in reducing compliance boundaries of multi-band base stations (2G to 5G).

Result: Bouygues Telecom’s internal specifications now reflect a reduction in antenna compliance boundaries. Complete information available on demand.

Evaluated near-field exposure to multi-band base stations (2G to 5G) using MS Excel.

Performed EMF measurements near mobile base stations to assess workers exposure to 4G emissions with extrapolation to maximum power. Performed EMF measurements to better understand the power control features of 5G base stations at 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz. Measurement equipment: Alphawave FieldSense for RF security, Narda NBM-520, Narda SRM-3006, Keysight Fieldfox.

October 2021 - March 2024

Ph.D. researcher

Institut Polytechnique de Paris - Telecom Paris - Company website

Studied: Workers’ exposure to FM antennas in radio towers. Electromagnetic fields modelling using CST and MATLAB, dosimetry simulations using the FDTD method on linux (NUFDTD).

Modelled FM sources for FDTD simulations. Did specific absorption rate (SAR) simulations on homogenized human models.

Results: developed a new methodology for near-field exposure assessment, proposed models obtained using machine learning to estimate SAR values from electric field in V/m. Publication of 2 conference papers and journal paper.

Publications: BioEM2019 conference, URSI GASS 2020 conference, Bioelectromagnetics journal article (Wiley).

November 2017 - June 2021

Engineering Apprentice

Worked in the Mobile Networks CTO Business Unit on RF exposure mitigation projects.

Analyzed RF exposure compliance boundaries for 4G and 5G Nokia equipment using MS Excel and EMF Visual. Wrote compliance reports for internal use and Nokia’s clients.

Evaluated LTE/4G Small Cell uplink and downlink EMF exposure; automated data processing using Excel and VBA.

Analyzed indoor and outdoor exposure to 4G and 5G equipments using 3GPP pathloss models.

Result: impact of small cells deployment on RF exposure mitigation. The work was published in EuCAP'17.

November 2017 - June 2021

Instrumentation technician intern

CNRS - French National Centre for Scientific Research

Internship with the IN2P3 research unit.

Worked on a MiniAturized Gamma Imager for Cancer Surgery (MAGICS).

MAGICS input voltage depended on local temperature, hence the camera needed a suitable temperature sensor.

Designed a PCB to test several sensors, using Arduino and C++. Used LabVIEW for the test bench.

Result: recommended the most suitable sensor for MAGICS. Internship completion helped in obtaining associate's degree in electrical engineering.
